On the night of September 8th, a powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Morocco, resulting in over 3000 deaths destroying towns and villages.

300,000 have been impacted by it, losing their homes or getting injured, mainly in remote mountainous areas.

Due to a lack of infrastructure, many children are unable to return to school. Even a year later, the situation remains instable for many of those impacted.

THE PROBLEMATIQUE

"Donate yes, but to whom? "

Local organizations play a vital role in disaster recovery but often lack visibility, clear project communication, and access to efficient fundraising tools. Many rely solely on volunteers, have no digital presence, and cannot process online donations, limiting their ability to mobilize resources effectively.

THE PROJECT

An app for simple and secure donations, to provide shipping container as schools to bring meaningful change to the lives of those affected by the earthquake in Morocco.

THE REBUILDING SCHOOLS PROJECTS

After reaching 21 people by questionnaire, 90% of the respondents are willing to donate to an educational program to bring back quickly children to a safe and joyful learning space, using sustainable and earthquake-resistant building techniques.

The goal is to ensure that the donations reach those who need them the most, in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

With just a few taps, users can easily help transform these containers into fully functional classrooms within four months.

Additionally, users can stay updated on the project's progress, meet the children, and even consider sponsoring a child.

PAIN POINTS

In Morocco people usually donate to individuals over associations

However, after an earthquake, 65% of our respondents donated to an association for the first time, particularly supporting education programs.

No trust on local associations

Due to corruption and lack of communication from the associations, donors who wish to participate and be acknowledged require impactful stories and a it's clear where the money is going.

Immediacy and sustainability

Concerne with long deadlines for traditional association to reach those in need. Also, long-term impact and sustainability of traditional building methods in disaster zones.

Security Concerns

Users worry about the safety of entering their credit card details and personal information.

Complicated Donation Process

Basic UX design on local association websites, also often lacks online payment options.

Creating a sense of community among donors and beneficiaries can create a deeper connection to the cause.
